2019 Benefits Annual Enrollment Now Open

Dear LSS Benefit Eligible Employees:

The Annual Enrollment period allows you to make new elections and/or changes to your benefits. All Annual Enrollment elections and/or changes will become effective January 1, 2019, and must be completed online through Workday between November 14 and November 30, 2018.

In addition to reviewing the important news for our 2019 benefit plans below, I highly recommend you visit our LSS benefits website to view our brand new “video series” for this year’s Annual Enrollment (www.LSSLiving.org/Benefits).

In past years, we’ve shared information about your LSS benefits and what was changing for the new year in townhall-style meetings.  Based upon feedback that it was difficult for staff to be present for these in-person meetings, we’ve taken a new approach this year and created a series of short videos that you can watch at your convenience where ever and whenever is best for you.  These videos can be watched on any computer with internet access including your smart phone, and there is a total of 9 videos, each focused on a different topic and lasting about 5-10 minutes each.  Most of us may only want or need to watch Video #1, which explains all the changes you’ll see in your 2019 benefits in about 14 minutes.  If you want to learn more about individual benefits though, you can in the other 8 videos that are even shorter.

Inside these videos are links to helpful resources that you can view and/or print.  These are the materials that would be shared with you as hand-outs if we were still hosting in-person meetings.  And as always, your HR team at your Community or Program are available and happy to help answer any questions you may haveafter watching these videos.  Do not hesitate to contact them with any and all questions.

For this year’s Annual Enrollment, there are several changes and updates to share with you about our 2019 benefits:

  1. Salary threshold for higher Medical premiums increased to $45/hour – In 2019, staff paid between $35-45/hour will now pay the lower bracket of medical premiums.  Staff paid $45.01/hour or more will be in the higher premium bracket.
