Come One, Come All! Volunteer Opportunities for All Ages

Each week at Lutheran Senior Services we have volunteer groups and individuals serving in a variety of ways at our communities.  Volunteers can be found leading BINGO, cleaning wheelchairs and walkers, landscaping, visiting with residents, doing a drive to supply our residents with things they need and much, much more!!!  Volunteers come from high schools, universities, local churches, youth groups, businesses and our own staff.

Rosati-Kain High School recently began a project for Hylton Point I that will have a lasting impact on our residents and staff there.  An empty raised garden will be transformed into a thriving garden for our residents. The residents and staff couldn’t be more excited to start this adventure! With a collaboration of our volunteer coordinators, staff at Hylton Point I, Thrivent and the Rosati-Kain High School this raised garden is going to begin with fresh soil and then with love plants will be planted by volunteers and residents.  Each week they will come together to help take care of the garden and residents will help to water it too!  In a few months they will be able to reap the rewards of their work with fresh vegetables.

Thank you to each community for welcoming our volunteers to serve!  For more information about volunteer opportunities please go to our website http://lssliving.org/volunteer.  Volunteering allows individuals to bloom within our communities and impact our residents and staff.  Thank YOU!

Jesus taught.  “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and love you have shown him as you have hleped his people and continue to help them.” Hebrews 6:10.
