Over the past six months, LSS has been evaluating our current copier and printer usage, layouts, and vendor. As a result, LSS has selected a new vendor who will begin servicing our printers and copiers January 1, 2020. Current printers and copiers will be labeled with new contact information for servicing and the LSS HelpDesk is also available to assist with any questions. Throughout the first quarter of 2020 the actual devices and layouts of the devices will be updated throughout all LSS communities and locations. Home Office and Laclede Groves will serve as pilot locations in January to prepare for a quick and efficient transition at the other communities and locations.
Here are a few things to keep in mind during this transition period:
- LSS will be moving to a leasing option. Requests for copy/print devices will be coordinated by IT (with the exclusion of staples and paper).
- Please postpone requests to add, change, or move copy/print devices until after the site implementations are complete. If there are requests for these items, direct them to the IT HelpDesk (HelpDesk@LSSLiving.org or 314.446.2400) for review.
- Use existing toner/print cartridge inventory and withhold from ordering new supplies if possible. By the end of the first quarter of 2020, all devices will be removed and replaced.
With the new vendor and new devices, there are many features that will benefit LSS employees. Information about training on these new devices and the new features and timelines for implementation of the new printers and copiers will be announced soon so stay tuned!
