DIY: Reset Your myUnity Password

Did you know you can reset your own password in myUnity? You can! But only if you have your security questions set up.

It only takes a few minutes to set up security questions. Then if you forget your password in the future, you can reset it quickly yourself instead of having to reach out to the Helpdesk for assistance.

To set up your security questions, follow the directions below:

  1. Open myUnity and click Reset Password under the Login button.
  2. Select the Self Serve button.
  3. Log in with your myUnity username and password.
  4. If you have already set up your security questions and need to reset your password, you would select Forgot your password? At this point and follow the prompts.
  5. Look to the Self Password Reset section on the right-hand side of the screen.
  6. If you have previously set up your questions you will see two options: Reenroll and Disenroll.
  7. If you have never set up your security questions before, you will only see an option that says Enroll. Click it to set them up.
  8. Select three security questions and set your answers. Then click Save.
  9. You’re all set! Now, if you ever forget your password, repeat steps 1 and 2. When you get to the point where you can enter your credentials, click Forgot Password. You will be prompted to answer your security questions, and then you will be able to reset your password.

If you’re unsure if you have already set up your security questions you can follow the directions above to find out. The Helpdesk is still here to help if you have any difficulty, but using the self-serve password reset option expedites the process for everyone involved. So, make sure to set your security questions today, before you forget!
