Kudos and Credits to LSS Employees

I would like to give a shout out to the Lenoir Woods REACH team! I received a phone call from the wife of a guest who was with us for rehabilitation. The wife wanted to make sure I let everyone know how much her husband enjoyed his stay on REACH. Everything from nursing, therapy, to the food was excellent. She also stated that in their opinion, we far surpassed the care and therapy her husband had received at another community prior to coming to Lenoir Woods. Thank you REACH team!

A big SHOUT OUT to CNA Michelle Norris, who works on the “Ballpark Village Neighborhood” at Laclede Groves. Michelle has dedicated herself to the loving care of the residents at Laclede Groves for over 26 years. She takes pride in her job and the care she gives the residents shows in everything that she does.

Michelle routinely receives compliments from families and residents because she is willing to go out of her way to do whatever it takes to provide the best possible care for the residents. When residents who have bonded with her have had to change rooms, Michelle has volunteered to adjust her assignment so that she may continue to care for the residents, even when the change may make her schedule more challenging. She shows a genuine concern for their happiness, safety and well-being and it is very much appreciated!

Michelle has also taken on an informal leadership role on the neighborhood by providing her expertise and mentorship to new people joining the team. We appreciate Michelle’s service excellence as she puts people first with her generous heart.

Beatriz Escobar Colorado, has been working as a Housekeeper / Laundry assistant at Lenoir Woods since April 2016. Since day one, she has been a model employee and continues to serve and help others with a smile.

Beatriz goes above and beyond and is quick to make sure residents’ issues are resolved and that they are happy. This may mean communicating with supervisors or solving things on her own, she takes care of things right away and is attentive to residents’ needs. She is willing and happy to work in any area required and is a dedicated employee.

Hidden Gems Resale is celebrating its 5th anniversary May 2018. I would like to send a SHOUT OUT and a huge thank you to all the volunteers, and of course our store manager, Adam McReynolds, for their exceptional work and dedication. The store proceeds benefit Lutheran Senior Services Benevolent Care, supporting our aging neighbors who can no longer support themselves.
