Let LSS Help You With Your Educational Goals

Ready to develop and grow your career at LSS? There are several educational assistance programs you should be aware of that will help you succeed! Great benefits to help you continue your great work in our communities and programs, making a great impact on those we serve.

Tuition Reimbursement
Full time employees in good standing with one year of full time service are eligible to receive tuition reimbursement. This benefit provides financial assistance toward the cost of completing a degree or the cost of attending post secondary school courses. All courses must be approved by your supervisor and Executive Director before registering. You may enroll in up to six credit hours of approved courses each semester and be reimbursed for 75% of the tuition cost of each course (not including books, fees, etc). At the time each course is successfully completed, up to a maximum of $3,000 will be reimbursed per year. Employee lifetime maximum reimbursement is $10,000. Employees who receive the reimbursement benefit are required to continue full time employment for eighteen (18) months after completion of the last reimbursed course(s). Additional terms and conditions that apply to this program may be found in the HR Policy “Tuition Reimbursement” on LSSLink.

Nursing Scholarship Program
For current nursing employees interested in furthering their career with LSS and pursuing an LPN or RN degree, LSS will award up to $10,000 per eligible and pre-approved employee to help with tuition expenses. In addition to financial assistance, LSS also supports those studying to become an LPN or RN by allowing Full-time employees to decrease their weekly hours to 24/week and still continue to be “benefits-eligible” and retain their current insurance elections. Employees must submit a Nursing Scholarship Program application to their Director of Nursing or Director of Health Services prior to beginning their semester in order to receive formal approval and acceptance in to the scholarship program. Once notified in writing that their application has been approved, employees are eligible to receive financial assistance in advance of their semester in order to help them pay for the schooling. Additional terms and conditions that apply to this program may be found in the HR Policy “Nursing Scholarship Program” on LSSLink.

For a C.N.A. program, this benefit provides up to $725 towards the cost of tuition, exams and materials, as well as regular pay for time spent in class (up to 75 hours) and clinicals (up to 100 hours). For a C.M.T. program, this benefit provides up to $490 towards the cost of tuition, exams and materials, as well as regular pay for time spent in class (up to 64 hours) and clinicals (up to 8 hours).
