Mission Mailbag for Heisinger Bluffs and Concordia Village

It is that time again when we highlight those at Lutheran Senior Services who exemplify our Christian Mission of “Older Adults Living Life to the Fullest”. We enjoy receiving letters from residents and their families who have been touched by the kindness extended to them by LSS employees. It is often the little things that make the biggest impact.

Please remember to forward all letters to Nancy Robinson.

To Ashley Drewel | Administrator of Care Center & Assisted Living, Heisinger Bluffs:

Dear Madame,

I just wanted you to know what a great employee Larry Robinett is. My mother, Helen Kauffman, is a resident of Unity Park’s Memory Care Unit. She has five daughters who visit her often.

We have all been amazed at how Larry reaches out to mom, as well as the other people in the unit. He has many activites to keep the residents involved on a daily basis. On special occasions such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and 4th of July, he plans dinners for residents and their families. He sets everything up in a way that we can all be served in a well-organized manner. His barbequed ribs are absolutely the best!

I keep in touch with Larry on a regular basis concerning my mom. He is always happy to assist me. I hope that he continues to be the Lifestyle Enrichment Coordinator for many years to come.
