Mission Mailbag Thanksgiving Edition

In this season of Thanksgiving, our residents’ families have shared some special appreciation for our LSS communities and staff. Here’s a sampling of these notes from around LSS:

Laclede Groves Ballpark Village staff received thanks from family members for taking great care of their loved one:

“We would like to thank you for the excellent care of our mother. We could not have asked for a more caring group of professionals. We appreciate all that you did for her.

Lenoir Woods Assisted Living received the highest compliments from a family:

“Every individual I have interacted with has been very professional and, I can tell, cares about the residents. We have been impressed with the amenities, cleanliness, and overall quality provided. There are two outstanding staff members who work closely with my mom who I want to recognize. The first managed to do what we could not: Get my mom up and to the dining room to take part in an activity. We met with another staff member to discuss the various aspects of care and review our options. He was professional, compassionate, specific, and detailed. Lastly and most importantly, this staff member not only cares for my mom as a resident but also knows her as a mother, grandmother, nurse, and ensures she is treated with respect. I, being so far away, am comforted knowing that my mom is getting excellent care and service.”

Lutheran Hillside Village has received thank yous from residents’ families:

“My mother had a short stay at Lutheran Hillside Village. The loving care my mom received in the skilled care was so precious. The chaplain was there with love, prayers, and encouragement. Being a faith based community was such a blessing from God. The nurses and aides were gentle, knowledgeable, and efficient, kept good communication. I am very thankful for the care in such a difficult time. It is definitely a gift and a calling to serve here. I pray they are blessed. Thank you.”

“Thank you so much for the past two years you have loved and cared for our mother. Our parents chose to live at Lutheran Hillside Village for their later years and for mom it was the best decision ever. Bethel Plan is a notch above the rest. You are one in a million. The care, respect, and love you show to all the residents reflect the wonderful hearts you have for God. You graciously gave of yourselves, getting her up in the mornings ready for the day, pleasantly serving three good meals, giving baths, dispensing meds, laying out pajamas, turning down the bed, putting her to bed, washing clothes, cutting hair, doing nails, talking, laughing, and helping her enjoy each day. THANK YOU!”

These notes are examples of the kind thoughts our residents and their families share with us every day. If you or your community has received a thank you note recently, please share them with us at info@LSSLiving.org so we can feature it in an upcoming post.
