New Tools: Presenting and Representing LSS

Maybe you have an opportunity to present to a local club or church. Perhaps you’re updating residents or staff. No matter who you are presenting to, it’s important to start with the right tools to make sure you’re presenting and representing LSS well. Whenever you are speaking on behalf of LSS, it’s important to use consistent presentations in both look and message.

Here’s where to start to make sure you’re ready to represent LSS:

1.    Visuals

If you have the opportunity to include a PowerPoint with your presentation make sure you are using the most up-to-date LSS PowerPoint Template. You can find that template here.

2.    Information

Take a few minutes to refresh yourself on the LSS organization as a whole – review our Christian Mission and Christian Core Values, spend a few minutes looking over the full scope of work, and familiarize yourself with the communities and services offered by LSS. The LSS website (LSSLiving.org) houses all this information that is helpful in preparing. Our Brand Guidelines are another helpful tool you should reference to make sure you are using the appropriate terminology and are familiar with the rich history of LSS. You can also refer to this post about how to quickly tell the LSS story and the role you have in our mission.

3.    Handouts

Is there anything you want to leave the audience with? Sometimes it’s as simple as making sure you have copies of your business card to hand out.

4.    Help

Maybe you’ve realized this is a bigger presentation and you need a little help pulling together a PowerPoint, information, and a handout. If this is the case, we have a department here to help. The LSS Communications Department provides communications support to all of LSS and is ready to help you put your best foot forward in representing LSS and reaching your audience.
