SimplyWell – New Wellness Partner for Lutheran Senior Services

The health and well-being of you, our staff, is a top priority for LSS, and we are excited to announce a new wellness partner for LSS – SimplyWell.

As many of you know, Interactive Health has had a strong partnership with LSS for 10 years, helping staff and their families take positive steps toward wellness. But, after a long and thoughtful review of other workplace wellness leaders in the market, LSS Executive Directors, HR Directors, and Wellness Team leads have decided to partner with SimplyWell as our wellness provider. Working with SimplyWell, we will continue to strive for high participation in annual testing, but we will also increase and enhance year-round employee engagement in areas of health & wellness.

We will transition to SimplyWell in time for our upcoming wellness testing in September.  Our primary objective for this year is to offer a smooth transition for our wellness testing so that this change in partnership causes no disruptions to the progress we’ve made and for your experience as a participant.  We’ll also launch a new state-of-the-art online wellness platform available to all employees.  Our long-term objectives for 2019 and beyond will be shared later this year, and will introduce new, exciting and fun elements that we believe you’ll love.


Some highlights of what to expect in 2018 include: 

All LSS staff will be invited to participate in the annual testing, because the health and wellbeing of all our staff is important to us and our LSS mission (not just those employees eligible for or enrolled in our medical benefits).  Although only those enrolled in our medical benefits may qualify to receive discounted insurance premiums as a result, all can participate if they’d like. 

-The venipuncture blood draw method of testing will be replaced with the easier finger-stick method, which will still provide participants with quality medical information. By changing to this method, participants will be able to receive results on the spot, meeting with health coaching professionals in-person if they choose.  Year-round coaching will also be offered by phone and online and in English or Spanish.

-The introduction of an online wellness platform that all LSS staff can access.  SimplyWell is the market leader in offering engaging technology with a true mobile app you can use on your smartphone as well as on a desktop computer.  This technology will provide additional support and resources for the wellness-focused efforts, events, and programs your local Wellness Lead coordinates today.

-There is a greater number of offsite Quest labs available in all areas that LSS is located for any staff (and spouses) who may need to have their testing done offsite
