Upcoming Server Outage – Saturday, April 27

This weekend the LSS networking team will be making improvements to the LSS servers to make additional space to store critical applications and information. As the LSS family continues to grow, there’s need for more space for all that information. One could even say that LSS servers are starting to represent the technology equivalent of an episode of A&E’s Hoarders… Just with fewer cats… Hopefully. It’s like Konmari for servers – committing to tidying up and keeping items that “spark joy.”

The LSS networking team will have the servers offline on Saturday, April 27, starting at 11 a.m. This server tidying is expected to take eight hours.

Here’s how this outage could impact you:

Specific applications will be unavailable.

These include:

  • LSSLink
  • Kronos
  • AHT
  • McKesson
  • CO1-Apps-D-1
  • Optimization Tracker
  • Genesys
  • SimpleLTC

Employees will be able to punch in/out at the timeclocks during the outage.

Although timeclocks won’t be able to communicate with the Kronos application until all systems are back online, time will still be tracked and updated.

LSSLink will be offline and display an error message during the outage.

LSS email may be available for a short period of time during the outage, but that likely won’t last long.

Scanning to email from a copier or scanner will not work during the outage.

Internet and WiFi will be available.

The network (accessing and printing files) will be available.

MyUnity and WorkDay will be available.

If you have any questions before the outage or need assistance during the outage, please call the LSS HelpDesk (314-446-2400) and leave a voicemail. The on-call technician will get back with you as soon as they can.
